Fire crews have rescued a sheep that fell off a cliff.

Fire fighters from Modbury Fire Station, alongside another crew from Greenbank and a specialist rescue team rescued a sheep that had fallen off the edge of the cliff near Stoke Beach, below Revelstoke Park caravan site, between Noss Mayo and Holbeton on the South West Coast Path, on Monday evening.

A representative of the station said: “The successful rescue returned the animal to the field for its late evening meal. Great effort folks.”
