SOUTH West Devon constituency MP Gary Streeter has visited an Ivybridge pub to see how a local businessman hopes to attract visitors to the town centre.
Mr Streeter popped into The Trehill Arms, before last month known as the The Bridge Inn.
The pub has recently been refurbished after it was taken over by Alex Tempest, who runs the My Kitchen Cafe at the Countryman’s Choice Farm Shop at Endsleigh Garden Centre. The Trehill Arms has been refurbished and is now aimed squarely at the gastropub market, with a newly appointed head chef, James Chapman.
Mr Streeter said: ’Congratulations to all those involved in the total rebranding and refurbishment of the Trehill Arms in Ivybridge. You have created a truly amazing place to relax, eat and drink and I am sure that this will soon become one of the most attractive pubs/restaurants in the Ivybridge area.’
Alex added: ’The Trehill Arms is a wonderful and historic building that offers everything that a great British pub should. We are determined to ensure every visit is a unique experience, no matter the occasion.’
