I would like to thank everyone who responded so well to the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal this year.

My special thanks go to those who gave out leaflets or took in boxes, including the tourist information centre, the Trading Post, Nicola’s and Save A Packet, as well as Morrisons for its donation of game cards.

I am much indebted to two gentlemen for the storage and transport of boxes.

But most of all, everyone who filled boxes or donated items – remember that each

box equals a happy child this Christmas.
