MANY lovely dogs were brought along for a highly successful two-day dog show at East Allington.

Following the Terrier, Lurcher and Family Dog show at East Allington, DVSPMH, the organisers, have thanked everyone involved in helping to put the show on.

A committee member said: ‘From the generosity of the landowner, the professionalism of the various judges, the generous sponsors in this most difficult of years, to the many volunteer helpers and stewards who worked so hard.

‘It was gratifying to see so many lovely dogs competing for the various national Qualifiers on offer, with some travelling from as far as Yorkshire to take part.

‘There were classes for everyone, from simulated coursing and timed dash courses to the rings for Lurchers, Terriers and of course the family dogs.

‘The show is normally held annually in May but was delayed this year until now due to Covid restrictions, and of course was not held at all last year.’
