YOUNGSTERS at Brixton St Mary’s C of E Primary School have been considering the meaning of ’home’ as they design welcome cards for house buyers.
Local estate agents Luscombe Maye chose the school for a competition to design the cards, with pupils asked to delve into their imaginations and come up with an image that captured the essence of a place called home.
Top spot went to Kieran Neal, who won a £25 voucher for his efforts, while the runners up were Ben Evans and Molly Upton.
Teacher Claire Wilkinson said: ‘It was great that Luscombe Maye asked our children to design a card.
‘It was an exercise that not only tested them artistically but got them thinking about what it is that makes a house a home. I think people moving into their new properties will really like having a welcome card designed by a young member of the South Hams community.’
