Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is excited to announce the launch of a new partnership with Owens Organic Coffee to introduce their own brand of Tea & Coffee named ‘Crew’s Brew,’ a bold & full-bodied coffee collaboration that will help to keep the charity’s crews responding.
This new brand takes pride of place at the St. Marychurch charity shop with plans to launch in additional DAA shops in the future. It provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for visitors and is an inviting place to sit and enjoy a cozy cup of coffee or a steaming cup of tea with friends, or - if you are on the go – you can simply call in to take-away a hot drink instead.
Whether you are looking for a quiet spot to catch up with a friend or a comfortable space to relax, this new initiative offers a friendly and inviting environment for socialising and enjoying your drinks. It is not just a place for a great cup of coffee but also a community gathering spot where you can unwind and connect with others while showing your support.
Owens Coffee was founded in 2010 and was the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the Southwest of England. Owens Coffee’s products have won numerous awards including Great Taste Awards, and the UK’s Best Organic Coffee. In 2022, Owens Coffee won the Best Sustainable Business at the Muddy Stiletto Awards.
Speaking about the partnership with Devon Air Ambulance, owner of Owens Coffee, Lorraine Bridden said:
“At Owens Coffee, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. As well as considering our environmental impact, that also means supporting the people involved in producing, supplying, and buying our products, and the communities around them. We have been collecting money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust since we opened our shop to the public at The Roastery in Ivybridge. Now we are able to take this significant step further by providing the organisation with freshly roasted coffee to sell to its customers, who are actively supporting the charity through their network of shops across the region. The air ambulance crews do so much for our county, it is an honour for all our team to provide the charity with a new product that will directly help keep these life-saving crews responding.”
The Crew’s Brew coffee beans are grown by organic coffee farmers in the Nueva Segovia region of Nicaragua and the Santa Barbara region of Honduras.
Pete Vallance, Head of Business Development at Devon Air Ambulance, said:
“As soon as we walked in the door of Owens roastery at Endsleigh near Plymouth and saw their empty coffee sacks being sold to raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance it made sense to explore a Partnership for their quality products raising funds for a worthy cause. Crew’s Brew is roasted in Devon with beans from South America, not only are we serving this in our St Marychurch store, but coffee lovers will soon be able to purchase Crew’s Brew at our online shop www.shopdaat.org “
Crew’s Brew Coffee pouches & boxed Tea will soon be available to purchase instore and online. At least £1 is donated to Devon Air Ambulance for each pack sold so each purchase made is supporting this local lifesaving charity. Crew's Brew coffee is certified, traded, audited, and sourced from Fairtrade producers, so you can feel doubly good about your purchase.
