South Hams is bracing for floods after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning this weekend.
The warning for rainfall, which has now been updated to run from 8pm tomorrow (Friday, January 29) until 8pm on Saturday, could lead to surface water flooding and transport disruption.
A Met Office spokesman said: “A band of heavy rain will move north-east across the area during Friday night, easing during Saturday morning, before another band of rain, some heavy, follows from the south into the afternoon, clearing again by evening. "During this time, 15-25 mm of rain is likely across the area, with as much as 40-50 mm across parts of Dartmoor and along the south coast.”
