The third Ivybridge Summer Fete was blessed with sunny weather last weekend.
The annual fete, organised by Miss Ivy Events in association with the Chamber of Commerce and the Ivybridge For You group, saw about 1,500 people flocking to Glanville’s Mill.
There was a great selection of stalls and workshops on offer, as well as the usual permanent shops in the shopping centre - including two new businesses, Malcolm’s Equestrian Shop and Your Home Let.
The gathered crowds were treated to music from Morice Town’s Queen’s Dock Ukulele Band and the Plymouth Mayflower Chorus.
There was also a great selection of workshops to keep the children entertained, including painting pottery, face-painting and stained-glass.
Pat Davies, chairman of the chamber of commerce said: “We’d like to thank everyone who came down and supported the event. A good day was had by all and there was such a nice atmosphere at Glanville’s Mill.”
Joanne Macaskie from Miss Ivy Events said: “It was such a busy day, and great to build awareness of what Ivybridge town centre has to offer.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and Ivybridge For You for supporting us.
Miss Ivy’s next event in the town will be Ivybridge’s Festive Fete on Sunday, November 12.
