A Slapton gardener has grown a whopper of a pumpkin.
Danny Bowden’s vegetable weighed in at just shy of 30kg.
The 36 year old grew it in his allotment.
Danny has been a gardener for 14 years working on many of the big estates around the Kingsbridge area.
He grows his own vegetables on his plot of land but it is the first year he has grown pumpkins but he is considering planting a dedicated pumpkin patch next year.
Danny said: "My children are happy and it will keep them very busy on Halloween, also I would like to do pumpkin and ginger jam that’s one of my favourites."
