IVYBRIDGE Town collected an away point from their trip to Holsworthy with a 0-0 draw in the South West Peninsula League on last night [March 22].
It proved to be a closely contested game although Ivybridge went closest to breaking the deadlock.
Skipper Scott Pocock and Jacob Bowker both hit the bar while Fletcher Williams had an effort cleared off the line.
Holsworthy also had their moments with Ivybridge manager Darren Stewart admitting: “It was a tight game. They were quite lively and had a couple of half chances.
“It was a point away from home for us although we were disappointed not to get all three.”
Having completed a run of three successive away matches which produced four points, Ivybridge have a welcome home fixture on Saturday [March 26] with Plymouth Marjon due to visit Erme Valley (3pm).
Ivybridge will be out for revenge after losing 4-1 at Marjon last August. Stewart says: “We have a score to settle against Marjon. They inflicted our heaviest defeat of the season on their Astro turf.”
